Statement on federal Climate Accountability Act

Jamie Kirkpatrick, program manager for Blue Green Canada, made the following statement in response to the federal government's announcement of its Climate Accountability Act to achieve net-zero by 2050:

 

Canadians need a clear path forward. Abstract climate change targets have proven ineffective. Government accountability needs to happen today. Climate accountability legislation must deliver a low-carbon transition with security and good jobs for everyone.
