Alberta’s proposed approach to methane mitigation turns its back on the opportunity to create well paying jobs that employ a range of skills similar to those in the oil- and-gas industry. Such jobs would be welcomed by many oil field workers who lost jobs in the recent recession and want to put their skills back to work in a new growth industry.
