During the spring and summer of 2011, we had the opportunity to meet with some workers in a number of new renewable energy manufacturing facilities in Ontario.

Below, you will find a few of their stories.

It was quite inspiring to see how passionate they were about their work. Some of these workers had been laid off before finding work in the green economy. Others had left behind jobs in the automotive or pharmaceutical industry to follow their passion. Almost without fail, each one mentioned their children or grand children, and spoke proudly about in the eyes of their children, they finally "get it."
